yeah, another Hai Dang prompt that turned into an entire story - well a bit late for trigger warnings, you already saw the knife eh?
.
audio is kinda fun here →
I must hide quickly–ah shoot
Peeking from under the bed–my boot
Come on out the Sheriff said
But I didn’t kill her, then I pled
We have you dead to rights
Isn’t that, stuck in her chest, your knife?
Yeah, it’s mine, that I admit
But it wasn’t me that killed her with it
Do explain, the Sheriff said
Well, that was us there on the bed
When her jealous husband found our sin
He grabbed my knife and stuck it in
Then out the window he fled
I heard the sirens and climbed under the bed
Just about then a deputy came
Shouting out the Sheriff’s name
You won’t believe what I found
Lying dead there on the ground,
Some fool jumped off the window ledge
Hit the ground and broke his neck!
Guess this is your lucky day then, son
The Sheriff allowed, with a bit of a frown
But there’s just one thing I don’t understand
If it wasn’t you, then who called it in?
The deputy, who was poking around
Exclaimed hey Sheriff, ain’t this a phone?
The Sheriff, pretty quick on his feet,
Says yes that’s a phone, you idiot
And checking, says it’s the wife’s, of course
And the last number that she called, was us.
And it looks like there’s something stuck there on it
Holy cow, its today’s winning lottery ticket!
The manager chimes in, the dead guy, see
Is the man who rented the room from me
Then the examiner adds – here’s another fact
There’s a boot print there in the small of his back
And that was when I finally gave in.
Looks like you caught me, I said, with a grin.
.
well, 😁his prompts just do that to me. If you follow me you might have run into ‘a more dependable ride’ which was another of his. Hope you had fun!

Very funny! You're good at these, Roger.👍
